Reclaimed ice core storage container from British Antarctic Survey, clay, silica (quartz) sand

This is a reclaimed ice core container from Antarctica, which was sourced by me from the polar scientists of the British Antarctic Survey at Cambridge University. The note on the tube means that it used to hold a fragment of ice core drilled from Dyer Plateau in Antarctica in the year 1990. So this creature is probably also desperately trying to hide in the past, using this tube as a portal.

The creature is made of quartz sandand clay. Sand is dry, and it is the opposite of water, while ice is water. A similar kind of sand, which is high-purity quartz sand, is the backbone of AI technological infrastructure. Glass, optic fiber, and semiconductors fuel the technological expansion that is heating the planet and imbalancing ecosystems. Not only locally where this quartz is extracted, but globally.

Antarctica has the most delicate and fragile ecosystem, and it is the most affected by climate change, which we can not hide from anywhere in the world.
