Building on my exploration of the relationship between human-made infrastructure and natural environments, this series reimagines real-life situations drawn from news archives. In these works, I explore how felines move through the world on their own terms, indifferent to human ownership and the frameworks we impose.

While creating this series, I found myself thinking of Kot Bayun, a mythical guardian cat from Slavic folklore, watching over the threshold between the human world and the otherworldly. A guardian of the only territory humans can’t quite claim.
